Might go to the closest store that would probably have this, Comickaze. But the last time I went in there (the first time was the last time), I bought three zombie novels, some even with very few pix. I’m afraid of what I might spend there this time…I thought I was too old for graphic novels but it appears not.
I feel ya… these places are dangerous for me too. I generally emerge many hours and many dollars later. Graphic novels have gotten SO good! Never too old for a good story.
Intrigued and four months to kill…. :D
Than you have some time to peruse her blog….
Looks very Edward Gorey-ish. I love Edward Gorey and dark and twisty.
I was thinking the same thing. A big fan of the hand-drawn method. It’s a not-quite-lost art.
Agreed. Her style is reminiscent of Gorey, but her stories are so, so much weirder. Though Gorey is pretty weird (in a very excellent way).
100%!
I am scared and delighted at the same time.
I will buy the book simply because the title “Marble in My Underpants” is so badass.
…also words to live by.
That is so strange. It’s kinda awesome!
She was doing duck face before it was a thing.
Looks pretty freaktastical! :)
That’s a great word for it….
Will look for this after I run into some spare cash. Why does everything have to cost money?
You could always just go read the whole thing in-store. I hear the booksellers really like that.
Especially if I spill coffee on it or get food smudges on the pages.
